House and Lot Variant
Hook: Mustad 94840 #10-16 Shown #14
Thread: Black UTC 70
Wings: White calf tail or body hair (Shown-Body Hair)
Tail: White calf tail or body hair (Shown-Body Hair)
Rib: Gold wire, reversed wrapped (Not used on this tie)
Body: Rear half dark peacock quill (Shown-coated with SHAN)
Front half - peacock herl (Shown-wrapped over wet head cement)
Hackle: Furnace

I love the H&L variant. It's probably one of my all time favorite blueline flies, or at least right up there. What I like most about it is it's bayouncy and the large visible white wing and tail. It's easy to see in rough water. Larger H&L's also make oustanding dry and dropper dry flies.
