Anyone interested in getting together in the next few weeks, or a few days even, to cast?
We had a lot of fun last year when we did this.

Any Saturday or evening after the 4th of July weekend is good for me.

I work the weekend of the 4th, but am off the following weekend. Would saturday July 12th work............late afternoon, evening, or early am.
I live in Woodstock, so I am up for anywhere within a one hour drive. I like the dam, but there is that wind tunnel effect always there. Are there any other places near the river, any river the we could gather?

Hey Eric, did you try Voltaren Gel, it is a newer product, and seems to be helping.
Guess you'll have to use your left hand..........just 90 ft or more folks:rolleyes:

Paces has that field that the meetup group had a casting get togther about a month ago or we can ask Bill if we can meet at the Hatchery.
Another option is a football field somewhere. Practices usually don't start until August.
But somewhere with H20 access nearby would mean there could be a fish or two caught later.

Hey Terry check PM's about fising in am.
Last summer when we did this it was well over 100 on the soccer fields in in Cartersville, with almost no breeze.
Lets say 9am, then we have to pick a spot. Is there anything near Riverside Drive on the Hooch with enough space, Island Ford?
Its gonna be ugly if I have to cast an Oyster Rod, might just get distracted;)
Mark K, (Kayaker Guy) are you coming?
Any thoughts?

I have a Suarez to attend in Atlanta at 7 PM, so as long as it isn't late afternoon that's cool with me.

Leave it to Windknot to bring the French into it. Bunch of Riffle droppers.
Hey, isn't this thread supposed to be about casting? Y'all are just a bunch of no-good hijackers, and I won't stand for it! Now back to the suarez...

Is everyone ok with Saturday July 12th 9am, at the field at Paces(hope it is mowed) or if we get permission from Bill at the dam.
It would be great if we had some beginners.................. I look at it like we are all learning, me especially.

My only concern with Paces is on a Sat. Morning their might be a lot of folks that want to use the field for their dogs. This is the only reason I suggested the Hatchery, but not sure how easy it is to access the river when at the hatchery.
Otherwise the time and place(s) works for me.

Paces sounds good to me.
If its at Paces I saw some random guy out there with a lawn mower the other day cutting grass. He definetly wasn't a gubment landscaper. More like a local retiree and his wife out there cleaning up. I thanked him for his hard work and offered him a Coke-Cola out of my cooler.
Anyway with that said we could bring a mower and mow crop circles to attract the media to the event. ;)

I can make it on Saturday at virtually any location. My casting can always use a little help.
The dam / hatchery works for me.

Hey Guys
I just found out they have a kids day (for Sam Rizzo) from I believe Trout Unlimited at the dam that day. I hope I spelled Mr Rizzo's name correctly. Also Eric will not be able to attend that day, and it would be great if he were there. I am off the 19th............sorry for sudden change

I hear that if it's at the Dam that Terry will be giving away a well used TFO 5 wt. , but that just may be a rumor.

I can most likely make it to the dam or hatchery on the 19th. It will be much cooler in the morning or late afternoon. Also, better fishing and more parking.
