I'm looking for first pontoon and saw where Creek Company has their ODC classic on sale for $200. What do you all think of that pontoon? I weigh about 220 lbs and plan on fishing tailwaters like the Toccoa. Any input appreciated.
Thanks,
Jed

I really like mine. With the toon it is easy to float or row from place to place and only have to stand up to fish. You will not be able to row back up river to fish a good spot again. Gear can easily be carried on the rear deck, I use a laundry basket. It is very comfortable to fish from and with a swivel seat you can turn and fish any direction as you float. You do need another floater or a person to shuttle you back. They're great for ponds and lakes too. I believe Baldea may be interested in selling his.

I've had my Creek Company pontoon at least four years - my wife bought it for me for my birthday. I've replaced both bladders and bladder covers. I use it that much. Just check out some of my previous posts - some think I'm on their payroll!

The price of $199 is not bad, but they do have sales occasionally, when the ODC Sport sells for $179 with shipping included. Go to their website and subscribe to their emails - you will be notified of their next sale.

Good luck!

The wife got it for me for Christmas and I love it! The best $199 you'll ever spend legally! I mean, uh... it's the best $199 you'll ever spend! :D

this is my tenth year on my creek co toon and it has never let me down. It is on the truck now ready to go in the morning. You take care of your toon it will take care of you. One thing you need to do if it is going to be out of the water in the sun for an extended period is air down the toons a little to allow for exspantion.great boats I would buy another one.

Good floating, Tim

Do I recall you had an extra oar? Am still in need of one. Have been fishing wadeable water lately, so haven't thought about floating. PM Please, TRW

GB,

Thanks for bringing up the pin ball pontoon video

Dawg Vet,

I guess you get the idea from the previous posts and the video that the ODC toons are pretty solid and stable. A bunch of us got one last year around Dec. when ODC had a sale on them for $145 including shipping. It was a deal we could not pass up and I'm glad we didn't.

Just put mine in the water for the first time Saturday. Did pretty good on a small farm pond. Takes a little getting used to if youve never done much rowing. I was very happy with it for 189 including shipping. Had a hole in one of my bladders when I got it and thought it wouldnt patch on a seam but so far it has held up.
