Foam Dragonfly

hook: Size 6
thread: Coats & Clark clear nylon
eyes: Bead chain
body: 1/4" X 2 1/2" Green sparkle foam w/ Chartreuse foam layer (any color will work)
Legs : Chartreuse w/ Black Rubber Legs (any color will work)
wing: White Slinky Fiber or similar product

1. Place foam on hook about 1 inch from end, make a hole for the hook eye to slide through and start your thread.

2. Bring the foam up through the hook eye and wrap the segmented section of the tail and work back to body.

3. Fold remaining foam over top and secure with segmented wraps.

4. Add legs to body.

5. Add bead chain for eyes.

6. Add white slinky flash or your choice of wing material.

7. Whip finish and coat head

8. Cut "V" shape into tail if desired.


These have been working great on the bass and bream when fished around cover and lily pads.

So, have you had a chance to try them out on your local ponds ?
