Just wanted to know if anyone has registered their pontoon and what is the most effective way of putting the numbers on it. Seems as if decals would not stick to the cordura and Im not sure how long paint would stay if you used stencils.
t90 - You may do a search on this topic, but I think I have seen where folks have made their own "license plates" from flat aluminum sheet stock or thick plexiglass and put #s on those. I think the stick-ons for boats or mailboxes would work well. They then hang the plate on the frame or over the tubes with cable ties or similar.
I don't have a toon but I am working from memory from what I have seen or have heard about.
Good luck.

T90;
I made my "plates" out of 4" x 24" 1/8" Lexan and hang them on the sides of the 'toon. I found the Lexan at Lowe's in a 2' x 2' sheet and cut the 4" wide pannels on a table saw.

I'm sure other places will do it too but Lowes can cut it for you if you don't have a saw.

you could also use an exacto-knife (razor blade) to score 1/4" or smaller lexan or acrillic and break the piece over a edge of a table or stair. first cut the long side, then the short one. use a straight edge to make the first slice, no need to press too hard.

I slide my plates under the straps and secure them with some clear box tape.

Turkeyh90...look at the (Ask the DNR) section and read the one that says Registration.
