Greenwell's Glory
Represents any small or medium dark olive mayfly--Original pattern from "Brook & River Trouting", by Edmonds and Lee (1916)
Hook: Wide-gap wet fly #14-16 (Shown-Mustad 3906 #14)
Wings: Starling primary or secondary wing quill feather (Shown-secondary), bunched and split. Choose dark section of feather
Body: Pearsall's Gossamer #4, yellow waxed with dark wax to turn thread to olive color. (shown-UTC 70 Olive)
Rib: Four or five wraps of fine gold wire or tinsel (Shown-wire)
Hackle: Cochybondu (Can substitute Hen furnace hackle) (Shown-Cochybondu)
Head: Body thread
