September Photo Contest

I figure with some "special" activities planned for this month, This month's theme should be "Kids in the Outdoors". Now you have an excuse to take a kid fishing.

This photo is not in the contest. This is a photo taken 2 years ago at the Outdoor Adventure Day at Unicoi State park. (It was taken in Sept.;))
Pictured is George Schlaugenhoupt (Trout8MyFly) instructing a young man tying his first fly. I really don't know who is having more fun!:D
This is probably my favorite photo I have taken as member of NGTO. And it shows just one aspect of why I am proud to be a member of NGTO.

The boys are hooked on catfish. They had a half day school day and since it was nice and cool and overcasted they wanted to go cat fishing.

Doubt this is a winner, but it is my kids, it was in September and it is fishing related.

My 4yr old had a blast at Smith's Creek OAD today. She got to wet the line on her new Barbi rod with success using one of GB's secret trout flies... :rolleyes: sssssh Powerbait

SS - excellent. I hope to see a lot more great kid's fishing photos. You catch a lot more trout with corn, worms, or crickets than chopped onions I guess.

Great shots, guys! I bet some of these kids will look back at the photos of them 20 years from now and have fond memories of the start of their passion for the outdoors.

I have not entered one of these contests before so here is my first shot. This is a picture of my son Aedan on the French Broad River, south Fork, last October - age 7. He is a good caster but the strike is still a challenge with trout - even the stockers. That said, they challenge me too. Hope this uploads! Cheers, Curt.
