native brown trout stream highlands nc

fished a stream in highlands nc. nothing but browns ( specks above the falls).....i love it.

Very nice. Looks like that water had just the right amount of stain on it to throw streamers at 'em. That has to be my favorite area to trout fish, particularly for the wild browns. Thanks for sharing the report. :cheers:

sorry....wild brown trout. not native. Browns are european. im sure you knew that.....i hate to point it out, but the fisheries biologist in me cant help it.
doesnt lessen the experience though. wild browns are hard to fool at the best of times.
