Ah, so nice to be back to The Bay. Even better to have an overcast day, an outgoing tide, nice rips under the bridge and fishing with ones favorite fishing buddy ( My Brother).
Even nicer to have schools of stripes moving through and attacking surface plugs ( not enough room to backcast so no spinning rods)> So nice to catch a lot of stripers, rockfish if you may, but they were all small schoolies, no over the 18inch keeper mark.
And of course, you have the frustration of seeing an acre of breaking fish, diving birds, and Murphy's Law of fishing, all the fish stay exactly 20-30ft further than you can cast! and further reason to have a boat when fishing The Bay.
