From the November, 2009 Rabun Chapter TU newsletter, Tightlines:

Some things just naturally go together; like a Varsity chilidog, onions, and mustard or like a good movie, popcorn, and a Coke or like a Christmas tree, gift packages, and kids. Take each alone and they are really nice, but combine them and something magical happens. It is called synergy (I “googled” it), “The interaction of two or more substances to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.” For me synergy happens when I combine camping out, bluegrass music, and trout fishing,. I really do enjoy them all separately. I camp out in the mountains near trout streams about 40 nights per year. I listen to bluegrass every time I crank up my truck. I usually go trout fishing over 100 times every year. And those are all nice, but when you mix them together with a few friends that enjoy the same things, then that is real special! Rabunites do just that 3 or 4 times every year. We are going to do it again November 4 - 8 (Wed – Sun) with camping out on Forest Service land, bluegrass music playing, and trout fishing in the Chattooga Delayed Harvest section. It just don’t get no better than that! Waaaah Whoooo!!

Nov 4 – 8 (Wed – Sun) Fishing & Camping at Long Bottom and with fishing in the Chattooga DH, backcountry, and front-country.
