Brook Trout Enhancement and Restoration

Every Trout Unlimited Chapter and Fly Fishing Club in North Georgia is supporting Back-the-Brookie this year! Over $12,000 has been donated to conserve, protect and restore native brook trout. The money will fund the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture (EBTJV) intern program. Interns work with GA DNR and USFS in the Chattahoochee National Forest building habitat structures, restoring native brook trout and evaluating habitat enhancement from previous years.

It's great to partner with other TU Chapters, NGTO, Georgia Women Flyfishers, Boy Scouts, and all the other like-minded groups that support B-T-B. Getting out there in the woods, seeing and meeting folks, and doing so much good at the same time is fun and personally rewarding. Thanks to Kevin and our hard working DNR and USFS experts who guide us and sweat and toil beside us.
