Well, got a day off from work b/c of the snow (teaching has it's benefits). Did some riding in the mountains and some tying. Got a pretty good dusting here in the Chatsworth area, Watkins you'll recognize the creek...

Fly boxes were a little depleted after the last few trips so needed to fill them up...been tying up some French patterns as well as some Craven Biot Emergers (killer pattern, look it up on charlie's web site). The Orange midges have been good to me too here lately.

Love the winter scape pictures. Also nice assortment of flies in the box. I will have to agree the Craven Biot Emerger is a very productive pattern in sizes from #18 - 14 for me.

No, I had never heard of him until I just looked him up. He does have some nice looking patterns. A lot of those patterns in the pics are from various ideas. The biot nymphs/emergers are from Charlie Craven. The frenchie's (PT's with orange hot spot) are a pattern that Dell73 and Pbourq had shared on here. Some of the midges are some of Rick Takahashi's patterns. Some of them are variations of patterns that I just threw together.
