Hunting Magazine Limits? Ammo restrictions?

Can anybody explain why there is a 5 shell limit on shotguns for deer, bear and feral hog hunting, but no limit on rifle magazine capacity? :confused:

In addition does "expanding bullets" mean you have to use hollow point and soft point bullets only? Are boat tail full metal jackets considered expanding?

I'm not sure what's out there these days, but not too long ago, when cheap SKS's were flooding the market, cheap steel core 7.62x39 was also very popular. It was $1/ box of 20. As long as you aren't using that crap, you should be fine.
