The guy that makes custom molded ear plugs is going to be at Sandy Springs Gun Club this Saturday from 10am to 3 pm.

He also can make them where you put your cellphone bluetooth earpiece in it. The one he made for my Jawbone Icon works great.

These are much more comfortable than ear muffs, easier to take in and out than those disposable foam ones, and don't fall out like the rubber ones when you get a little sweaty.

I recommend you get a bright color so people can see you are wearing them. Range officers hate it when they walk all the way over to me to tell me to use hearing protection and find that I am.

I've worn customs for almost 30 years now. They get replaced about every 3 years but well worth it. They also have some with shut offs, so you can talk with them in....

I grew up in a rural area that adored John Wayne, respected manly men, and looked at hearing protection as something for sissies. What jerks we were! :bang:

Some loud noises you can't avoid. Some you can. Each loud noise takes a toll on your hearing. 25 years ago I adopted overkill (plugs AND muffs), just to keep from having to put amplifiers in my ears every morning.

Make a small investment in your hearing now, 'cause your granddaughter will get pissed when she has to repeat herself!

My grandkids will just have to get used to it. 33 years around airplanes. Go figure.
