View Full Version : Took Beginners Class on 3/17
Had a suspicion that my "personal" style was becoming a collection of poor attention to basics, so I took the class this Saturday. Suspicion confirmed, plus a couple of new casts added. For the first time, something like the start of effective double hauling is in sight. Will have to take the advanced class up the road a bit.
Was this through river through Atlanta?

It was through one of our NGTO sponsors, Atlanta Fly Fishing School: http://www.atlantaflyfishingschool.com/. The advanced school with the video treatment is in my future. I wanted to go right back to the basics and correct some muscle memory. Call it spring training. Ratio of casts where you look around to see if anybody is laughing was getting too high, so I wanted to get back to basics with an instructor to help. Very helpful, and I walked away with some new tricks. Four hours of pounding out casts with certified instructors watching and teaching.

If you want the "video treatment" (and computer analysis) of the advanced school there is only one slot left for the May 26th advanced. We limit this class to only 6 students to provide the most hands-on time. 3:1 ratio with 6 students to 2 instructors and lunch is included as it is a full day class.
