Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say I'm new here. Living in south GA I don't get many oppotunities to do any trout fishing. I have to stick with the panfish and bass for the most part. I do love the mountains and enjoy fishing in the Appalachian streams when I get a chance, even though I never really catch anything.

Anyone here live near the Valdosta area? I'd love to get together with some real anglers sometime.

Looking forward to learning a lot from the forum.

Take care,
S.J.

Welcome... Paleo!

Brian Whitley and Keith Moxley are in the Macon area, and are pretty experienced with fishing the Flint and Ocmulgee Rivers. I am sure they would be a good couple-a-guys to start fishing with.

Brian is on this board.

Just moved from Lakeland ( a suburb of Val). Wife is still there till she gets a job here. I got tired of the 5 hour drive to find a trout & said to heck w/ the job & wife & moved to Habersham Co. (And that's my story & I'm sticking to it). There is some great bucketmouth fishing there but man those 100 degree July days are rough!
