It's cold, I can't feel my toes or my fingers. The idea that I could be out at the dam by myself is too good to pass up, so I'm out there. Ice is forming on my rod guides, the wind is howling, I can hardly cast my little 4 wt line on my 7 1/2ft rod, but I am having fun. There is a smile on my face. The trout are feeding. I am able to fool a few of them. Nothing to write home about, but definetly something to appreciate.
