Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it

    windblown,

Why does the last picture mention the elk river if snagged in JB?

That's not a bad yellow perch. Was it caught at Jones Bridge? There used to be a lot of them in the upper river, but mainly below JB. In the early 80s there was a fishing store in the clock tower strip center up the hill from Roswell Road bridge over the Hooch that used to sell bait, rent row boats and sponsor perch tournaments on the river.

One other problem - none of the fish are "bows"

brown & gold colored trout with red / black dots = brown trout, not rainbows

Actually the first two are rainbows, even thought the picture quality and composition leaves a little to be desired.

Sorry about that. The picture quality on my phone is not great. The first two are rainbows and the third is a yellow perch. I catch several yellow perch in the spot my friends and I fish at. It is odd because that spot (about a mile north of JB) is the only place on the river I have caught yellow perch.

I hear they are excellent when rolled in dirt and fried! What a shore lunch

Perch are one of my absolute favorite fish to eat, deep fried in heavy oil. Add a little tartar sauce and a toaster roll, and you got a delicacy.
