What a beautiful day to be on the river and the opportunity to be fishing. I hit the river at 1 p.m. and for two hours there was not another fisherman to be seen. With no action for the first hour, I moved around a bit and at 2:10 I got a hit that I swear must have been a stripped bass. After what seemed forever, at least five minutes, and after several runs, I was able to land a beautiful trout. I did not get a measurement, but, it was much larger than any of the stockers and must have been a hold over from last year. Anyway, it was a great fish and I was able to nurse it for five minutes and finally it swam away. Think I will go back tomorrow afternoon.http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/foru...6&d=1512197322

That actually does look like it may be a holdover. I've seen the odd one every once in awhile in the deep summer.

        Nice fish@
