  • Personal best Brookie

This morning I hit a blue line and landed a personal best Brookie. Almost 12" according to the fishpond net handle.

    Still swimming...

My friend - that would be a personal best native blue-line brookie for many of us..Thanks for sharing the pic from your trip..Out of curiosity, is that beauty going to have an opportunity to spawn again?
    Tight lines!!

Thank you and yes, that fish will have the opportunity to spawn this fall. Glad you asked.

Oh yes, size 12 parachute adams and the take was spectacular. It came up and slowly rolled over with the fly. There was no missing the hook set.

Thanks Mo! I have had two fish of a lifetime, just this year. I don't know what I did to deserve them, but I am not complaining!

I need to post some of the other fish I caught that day, some of the browns were rather nice at that altitude and I also caught a few bows. It was a GA slam kinda day...overcast and raining. No one else fishing the creek. I forgot the bug spray so I paid for that oversight, but it was a great fishing day.
