Im back from a long hiatus from fly fishing. I left off on a hunt for the Georgia native brookie. When I first started I was a high schooler looking for an easy catch. I remember looking over the map that GADNR provided showing all the stocked trout streams. I never fully trusted myself to try that "random creek" somewhere off a hiking trail or off a forest service rd. Fast forward 10 years and Ive since learned that you have to put the time in to get the results you want. Since then I've caught more fish in the last two weeks than I have in the last 10 years. Ive caught some beautiful wild rainbows as well as my first brown trout. While I still haven't achieved my goal in catching a brookie I know it's only a matter of time.. I look forward to progressing my fishing knowledge and all that good stuff through this site.
