Decided to go to Amicalola @ Hwy 53 after work to release some stress. I only had about an hour of daylight but I wanted to throw a line. I ended up with 4 to hand and lost several others. I feel much better now.

Nice!!!! The Ami is a great place to release stress!!!
    dink
Some fishermen see no fish and foolishly
believe that the river is empty.

I am in dire need of some "hydroTherapy" after the cabin fever that set in during the school closings...

            Some help from Dredger

It’s winter. May I suggest that Ami fans:

            1) try my winter techniques at Rabun TU.org. Low and slow and small is the key. Strikes are so subtle in the winter, the Unicoi Guru and I call it “zen fishing.”

            2) follow the DNR fishing blog
( dredger’s weekly reports on NGTO).
            “Gee, look, stocking!!!”

            3) use a stream thermometer to adjust their angling techniques and catch expectations.

Hope this helps, especially those new folks who have been used to spunky, naive November fish falling into hooks. The game has changed and winter anglers must adjust accordingly.

Good luck, and thanks to all for buying their licenses. I’ll soon head out for Dillard BBQ and bluegrass, and welcome trouter questions at the Rendezvous.
