I believe this pattern was created by Charlie Craven

Hook: Shown on size 10 stone fly hook
    Head: Gold bead
    Weight: 0.015 lead wire
    Tail: Brown goose biots
Under body: Any synthetic dubbing (Just used to give body a tapered look)
    Ribbing: Brown krystal string
    Body: Peacock herl
    Wing casing: Turkey slip
Legs: Brown indian saddle patch or Brown partridge
    Thorax: Brown hares ear dubbing

I know where they live, I know what they eat. Now it's time to fool them with thread, feathers and roadkill.

Nice pattern. we were tying those last night at the Fly Box get together. The key to that fly is al about proportions and the tapered body. I use craft store floss but only one strand.

Now that is wisdom. The general would be so proud
Flyfishing is a sport that embraces your presence when you approach it with grace and dignity..."did that really come out of my mouth?"

        We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
        Wandering by lone sea-breakers
        And sitting by desolate streams;
        World losers and world forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams.
