  • Rubber legged stimi

One of my favorite indicator flies. Casts well, floats well and catches fish. The rubber legs should make it even more enticing. I also use alot of CDC for an under wing which keeps it floating high for a long time.

Hook: Size 10 curved shank stone fly hook
Thread: Fire orange 6/0 and black 8/0
    Tail: Elk hair stacked
    Body: Fire orange waxed thread
Ribbing: Grizzly and Brown dry fly hackle
    Underwing: Light brown CDC feathers
    Overwing: Elk hair stacked
    Legs: Speckled tan centipede legs
Thorax: Bright orange pseudo seal dubbing
Thorax Hackle: Grizzly dry fly hackle

I know where they live, I know what they eat. Now it's time to fool them with thread, feathers and roadkill.

Great fly. I've been rising one I bought to wild fish, but recently got a few hooch browns.
I can't tie dries, but wish I could

One of my favorites as well.

True story..I was fishing I don't believe I Said Creek, not having a lot of luck. A true Rabunite came by and said "Throw sumpthin yaller, they love yaller." and kept going. I tied on a yellow stimmie, and immediately got into fish.
Yaller is my go-to color in the mountains.

Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD. God loves BBQ!

        Beautiful!

I would bet that a change of color to yellow or chartreuse for the head would be perfect for GSMNP as well! Nice tie! RCB.

Great tie! With some gink I'm sure that thing could support a small family
