  • William Joseph Confluence Pack

    I have tried most every hip pack, chest pack, sling pack etc that you can think of and I always keep going back to my confluence pack. In my opinion, it is the best pack out there. I have had mine for about 7 years. I had heard that they quit making them so I searched to try and find me another one to have as a spare. I was unable to locate one so I decided to refurbish mine. The fabric on the shells had started coming loose and some dry rot had set in so I stripped all the fabric off the shells. I then sprayed the shells with black plastidip. I put 4 coats on it and really liked the way it turned out. With my mom being an artist, I decided to get her to paint a fish skeleton on it and then put sealer on top of it. I put two new retractors in the pack and here she is! I really like the way it turned out. This pack has been with me through many miles and rivers and has quite a bit of sentimental value. Now it has even more since my mom painted it. I hope to get 7 more years out of the ole girl.

    I know where they live, I know what they eat. Now it's time to fool them with thread, feathers and roadkill.

    You got enough girdle bugs there?

    D. Drummond posted those Wychwood packs not long ago. They look identical in the front. Theyre over in the UK.

    Heres one for a hundo. I think. It might be in pounds.

    The backpack looks a bit different tho if i remember correctly.

    We are the music-makers,
    And we are the dreamers of dreams,
    Wandering by lone sea-breakers
    And sitting by desolate streams;
    World losers and world forsakers,
    On whom the pale moon gleams.

      It does look very similar and is probably a good pack but it has zippers and one thing I really love about the confluence I have is the magnetic closures. Very quick to get open and closed and the magnet forms sort of a seal. I have fallen head first more times than I can count and the pack go completely under the water and the inside is bone dry when I regain my balance

      PS You can never have enough girdle bugs
