  • A great time at the Rendezvous!

I just wanted to thank all of the Rabun Chapter of Trout Unlimited and all of the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited for putting on another great Rabun Rendezvous at the Dillard House again this year! It has become a family event for my little crew as one of the few events that three generations of the Greens all look forward to each year! Such a awesome event for supporting the resource that we all love and making it possible to support Georgia TU Trout Camp along with funding summer interns to help restore and protect our coldwater treasures. Great food, raffles, auctions and most importantly some of the finest people Iíve ever had the pleasure to get to know.

With the blessing of warm weather we just had to sample some of the DNRís handiwork and check out the Chattooga DH. That river steals my heart every time. Even saw a few winter black stones flying around!

Made it really special to have some new flyfishers on The Reever today!

If you missed it this year, make sure to plan for next year!

That may be the best photo of a little black stone I've ever seen.

Ah, putting "The Map" that your bride won to good use I see. Good call, man. And good to see you that night.

          "The" Event of the Season!

You can call it an event or a party or an opportunity or whatever, but it has become a true tradition in North Georgia trout fishing. I did not make it this year due to a family commitment but it is always on my calendar. Among other reasons, it is the perfect break between the holidays and tax season! Further, the funds raised go to very good purpose by the Rabun County Chapter.

I have led several fund raising banquets over the years and I can tell you it is a lot of work. I suspect Rabun TU, like many, has that hard core group who do 90% of the heavy lifting every year so here's to you! Here's to those who work so hard to bring so much happiness to so many and support TU projects to boot! Thank you very much for your efforts and dedication.

          See you next year!
