Us too. Our annual Thanksgiving in the Woods trip is next week. 7 or so RVs full will be there for the festivities. There should be pics if I have service.

      Something Different

Did this many years ago and plan to do it again next week. Smoke a whole turkey for about 2 .5 - 3 hours. Use the wood of your choice. Then, deep fry it in peanut oil at 325 degrees for 3 minutes per pound. For additional flavor fry a pound of bacon in the peanut oil prior to the turkey. I do not use any seasoning on the turkey. Cooking times may vary slightly, but not much. You want a nicely browned and crispy skin on the turkey. I also did the same with bone-in turkey breast. If you don't smoke the turkey first add 1/2 minute per pound for cooking time for whole turkey and 1 1/2 minutes per pound for bone-in breast.

I used to cook pork skins at various events and just decided to try the turkey cooked in the same oil one day and shared the finished product with some of the other food vendors. It was delicious! After the first time I had several of the adjacent vendors that would bring turkey breast to the events and ask me to cook them for their families after we finished cooking pork skins.

Wound up starting a bit earlier than usual and not smoking my other bird, got to go help my Uncle's green card wife do her first Turkey. I totally forgot to foil up the burny parts but it still came out nice and juicy...in the meantime quick one-eyed game day nap then back at it in a few.

Happy Thanksgiving. Lets see that Turkey Porn!

Nice buck. We don't really have holidays but I found some real sexy ones for you also.

...we had turkey, of course, dressing, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, fried corn, collards, cranberry salad and sauce, English peas, homemade rolls, sweet potato pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and homemade cinnamon rolls, which were still in the oven when Cath took the pics...also , a photo of Cath's mom and Toad...

...I cannot remember enjoying a meal more...

                Blessings!
