  • Just to be a meanie:

This should be the Saints' year as the Falcons appeared in, but could not win, a Super Bowl last year. The last time the Falcons made a similar Super Bowl appearance the Saints won it the next year. I'm not superstitious, I'm only a little bit 'stitious.

I really wouldn't be posting this at all since I'm not really an NFL fan, but someone has to try to humble ol' Buck Henry and his bashing of college football. This is the only way I could find to do this. (And it still may not work.)

Everyone else who is a Falcons fan, please forgive me.

Merry Christmas! Who Dat! and GEAUX TIGERS!
If you have difficulty understanding the post above, read it out loud and it should make sense. This NGTO member is known for his poor hill-billy upbringing and his affinity for all things from Louisiana (particularly if it relates to LSU). It makes for a poor mix of accents and much difficulty in translation. He was doing well for so long, but now seems to have regressed.

    • Right now, watching mediocre football is still a poor excuse for time well spent. I'll check in if they make the playoffs.

Haywood was the street I grew up on...and my first dog was a French poodle named Jablomè...this was coming Buck first game was Luck. All in all can’t say we’ve had a horrible season. Who’s to blame? First few games we should’ve had won. The Armenian did prove himself to me toward the end there. Eatfreeis cozy now, next year we’ll show em!

            • Well, we made the playoffs! I don' predict a deep post season run here given how mediocre the offense has been lately, but you never know! The playoffs can be funny that way.

First up is the Rams which I think is a good match up for the Falcons. And the Saints and Panthers get to go at in the other NFC wildcard game which should be good.

The girls are happy as they get to cheer another day!

              • Haven’t seen the rams play much this year, but based on the two games I did watch them play vs. Seattle, the rams take it in a close one.

                • Yeah, this one is kind of hard to call. Really depends on which Falcons team shows up. If they are hot, they are hard to beat. I am going with my team; Falcons by a touchdown!

Well this is like a Russian summer to Greg with this cold weather.

                          • Of course I have pants, I'm wearing some Hacksaw Jim Duggans. I'm more accustomed to Dry cold, this humidity makes it worse.

It got scary there at the end of the half. Nice to see Julio finally get a TD. Gurly was fun to watch but luckily went TDless. Freeman looked a little battered, guys stepped up like when Big Mack carried him into the endzone. Next couple of games shouldn't be too bad. Looks like Sarkisian getting into a groove finally.

                            • Gotta say that the defense played very well last night, especially the corners. And as well as Todd Gurley was running, we kept him out of the end zone. I sure wish the Falcons offense would score more TD's when in the Red Zone, but thank God for the ageless wonder Matt Bryant!

                              • Seemed like the field at the coliseum was pretty crappy. Lots of guys losing their footing on basic cuts. LA should ask for their money back from whoever laid it down.
