  • Retirement Celebration for Jeff Durniak September 14th

    See the attached flyer below.

Most here on NGTO interacted with Jeff Durniak over the years. Many of us have worked with him numerous times and appreciate the effort and passion he put into his job as regional fisheries supervisor.

Just spreading the word for those that may not have heard about this event.

No attached flyer that I can see. Can you post some details about the event. Thanks.

In addition to the retirement celebration Saturday, The Georgia Council of TU honored Jeff Durniak's years of contributions to the north Georgia trout fishing community by making a gift in Jeff's name to the Coldwater Fisheries Student Research Endowment at the University of Georgia Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. If folks are interested in adding to this gift in Jeff's name, you can find details at the front of the Georgia Council's website.

As an example, Zack Moran was a recipient of this one of two scholarships started by chapters of Georgia TU when he went to UGA.

Except Zach Moran never went to UGA Bill. He also left the position of trout biologist as of 8/15/19 to pursue his doctorate at Baylor. The state needs a new trout biologist unfortunately.

This was a really nice show of appreciation for Durniak. He truly is Mr. Trout Fishing in GA.
