  • Georgia Women Fly Fishers Beginner Class

    Georgia Women Fly Fishers (GWFF) will be conducting a beginner fly fishing class on October 21. We welcome both male and female students. The class is taught by Deb Bowen, a certified casting instructor with assistance from experienced GWFF members.

    Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area - Paces Mill Unit

    GWFF Members -$55.00 per person
    Non-Members - $110.00 per person

    October 21, 2017 from 8 am to 4 pm.

    Maximum 10 students - Minimum 4 (First Come, First Served)
    You must make payment to reserve your spot in this class.

    What the Beginners Class will cover:
    ● Equipment Introduction
    ● Basic Entomology (bugs)
    ● Basic Knot Tying
    ● Flies
    ● Basic Casting
    ● Approach & Presentation

    What to bring:
    Sandwich, snacks, water/drink for lunch
    5 or 6 wt. rod and reel & a 2x leader
    Waders, wading boots, heavy wool socks
    Hat or cap, sunglasses, warm coat, rain coat
    Extra set of clothes

    Rod, reel, waders and boots will be provided if you don't have your own.
