I just finished a rod yesterday. Set a new personal record by doing it in less than an hr...

New to NGTO and love to build Fly rods. My first was a Batson 5' 4wt I built for my granddaughter Painted pink of couse. Built a Batson 8' 5wt for myself and an8wt for a friend at work. Plan to build more.

fishinbub - pretty good - still using my GLoomis IMX 9' 4wt - however I did need to buy a new top half section - at the time it seem to be a good idea to burn off the thread fuzzies with a butane lighter before applying the epoxy thread finish and ended up melting the rod it two - money that I was supposed to save by building a rod was spent buying a new top section

I just started my new rod this morning. I have finished the handle/reel seat and wrapped the ferrules (sp?). The eyes are a little tricky though.

I am new to rod building, haven't actually built my first rod yet, but it should be in the mail by the end of the month.
