I was up with Kelly yesterday for the first time ever to the Cattooga. I'm convinced we didn't know what we were doing really.I will say it's one of the most beautiful trout streams I've ever seen.I'm wondering if fishing that area by the parking area is worthwhile. I caught one nice rainbow but that's it in about 4 hours.

Do you have any tips as to where to walk further upstream or anywhere where might be more worthwhile?
also, I'm thinking about going up and staying in a motel near Clayton or something rather than make that long drive it was a killer. I live in the Smyrna area and I am retired so I have no problem getting up there. I got back into fly-fishing last October I having a good time with moderate success so I'd like to branch out in fish areas up there.
any advice would be very much appreciated. Do you camp up there? I'm even game to do some of that.
