    Hi John,
I really enjoyed fishing with you in the mountains. I left the river Monday shortly after you did and hit Wolf Creek, but still caught nothing. When I had told my neighbor that I wanted to feed my sister some trout but had not caught enough, he told me to fish his pond. Within two or three minutes of casting into the pond something large broke me off. After watching a trout take a tadpole near the edge of the pond, I tied on a green and olive wooly bugger, cast to the other side, and began to strip. Something heavy hit my line and leaped--a large rainbow. It did not fight very long, so I fear many fish will die soon even though the pond is spring fed and my friend uses a generator to aerate the water. Anyway, my trout measured nearly 19 inches and was quite fat--probably close to 4 pounds (my friend feeds his trout). It fed us all with some left over!

I've tried to post a picture of one of my brookies, but the file is too large. If you'd like to see it, let me know and I'll e-mail the picture.
