the red fishing will be over by the time you get there, but fishing for dolly varden in quartz creek will be incredible, use 8mil dark roe beads painted with a light coat of white/blueish transparent nail polish and pin them about two inches above a mosquito hook, use a yarn indicator and bb split shot. I prefer a 4 weight rod. fuller lakes is great for lots of grayling using nymphs and dries. for rainbows you would need a driftboat unless you want to fish the russian river using the same bead method, of course they are not as big as they are on the kenai,

    Hey Jamfreeze,

I appreciate all the help you can provide. I will be fishing somewhere in the Cooper Landing area around August 14th or 15th. I was looking to wade for some bows and some reds if that is a good time for them. My dad and I would love to do a hike in where there won't be a ton of people and of course, where we are going to pull in some hogs.

Also I am going to need to rent some waders and get some tackle. Where do you recommend I do that?

I will appreciate all the help! Thanks a ton!

    Suwanee Dawg
