Disappointed in your response I should not have added humor. It took away from the essence of the post. I guess you missed the point.

Got this and it's funny yet still makes a great point. But is it a little to "adult" for the Message Board? thanks! --johnkies--

I enjoyed talking with you at your fly shop Sunday. Thanks again for helping me pick out flies. Hope to see you on the river.

Clark, I'm putting together the Feb. issue of UCC TU's Newsline and wanted to list the Spring Fling in our section on Events Around Georgia. What's the date?

Thanks for the help with the pictures. I tried to follow one of the posts for uploading the pics, but they did not turn out too well! Any advice on how to do it in the future? BTW, you guys really do a great job with the advice for the stockers! I'm really enjoying fishing the hooch with my boys!

Buck, This is Breck Davis - Cleveland, Tn. Joined your site a couple of weeks ago. Visited Robbie and his wife at Mountain Town Trout today with my boys. Considering joining his club after getting a lay of the waters on his property today. He stated you are a member. Any advice and thoughts on this water which is just one hour away from my home.

Buck, this is Mark Degler, Gunne's son-in-law. It is with a sad heart I am informing you that Gunne has passed away at 5:45 this evening of 9/11. You and all the guys that he met and knew were a big part of the last years of his life. Please post a note so that those who knew him will be in the know. There are no plans at this point for a memorial, but his last wishes were that I put his ashes in the Toccoa River that he loved so much. I don't know if that is legal or not, but that was his desire. Thank you for being a shining light in his life. He spoke of you often and held you in high regard. Thanks for taking care of this for me. You and the guys are still always welcome at our Toccoa River home. Mark

Hey Clark. I hope you are well. I've been out of circulation here for some time. Haven't been able to fly fish much and family issues. At any rate. If you recall, can you tell what kind of Bushmills I got you for our fishin trip?? I distinctly recall that it was very very smooth. I just tried some Kileggan and it was no where near as smooth going down and had more of a bite to it. Does that make sense. And would Bushmills Black be smoother still. Or could you recommend any Irish or Scottish whiskey (whisky) :-) that was as smooth or smoother than the Bushmills you had that trip? Thanks......Steve

Weather was kind of weird today up in north Georgia. Started off nice and sunny but clouds built in all morning and the temps actually dropped a few degrees. I was fortunate to fish Mountaintown Creek with Jeff Roach this morning, and we arrived at the creek to Blue Bird skies and cool temps. Water level is low in the creek due to not much rain lately, so the fish are kind of concentrated in the deeper pools. Fishing success was steady with several nice fish caught by both Jeff and I. Fly o' the...

Check, one....two....three; is this thing on? Well, either my blog writing is about as engaging as a case of the clap, or no one is reading anything posted in the NGTO blogs. But I figure there is one sure way to find out; say something nice about comp fishing!

I was completely wrong about comp fishing. I think it is great for the sport and I think those who are in to it are awesome and also great for the sport.

One of the toughest parts about someone new getting into flyfishing is all the gear they have to buy. With all the slick marketing pressure out there from scores of vendors, it is easy to get overwhelmed by all the crap one seemingly has to buy and hang off their vest just to catch a trout with a fly rod! I have worked in a fly shop and know all too well the look on folk's faces when they come in to buy what the need to go fly fishing and the bill quickly totals up to something close to their monthly...

Sorry I could not make the Fall Fling, but I had more pressing family matters to take care of last weekend. I drove my Mom and Dad down to Savannah so that my Mom could see her brother Tom, who lives in Orlando. My cousins drove their parents up from Florida and we met in Savannah for the weekend. Our folks are all getting up there in age and all have health issues that preclude them from travelling far on their own anymore. This could very well have been the last time they will ever see each...

I fancy myself being good at a few things in life, fishing certainly being one of them. I am not a world class angler by any stretch, but I have caught many fish in my life and feel like I know what I am talking about (for the most part) when it comes to fishing tactics, gear, etc. But for reasons I am still not sure about, I have taken some heat from a few NGTO members lately when expressing my opinions. Maybe someone of influence has it out for me, or maybe these folks just do not like me? Or...
