Justin...we are for sure going to be fishing curtis switch tomorrow (thurs 21st) around 10-1ish. I am bringing two kids (one backed out) and a buddy of mine. I think we will try bringing some cooked shrimp as bait for them (thanks for the hint). My cell number is (404)242-9609. I have a buddy down here who detailed cars for a body shop for awhile...and would be interested helping with some of your less desirable clients. Im sure you can make something work for the both of you...he loves a hard worker...and is VERY laid back.

let me know if you want his info...

Hey everyone.......I'm back! Took some time off before getting the kids back to school. Oh don't worry........I've been fishing!

Thanks gooseguess for that story. Most do laugh when you tie on a Rapala. That is until you reel a big boy in!

Hey Justin, Enjoy all your post and info about Taccoa. My dad and several others have fished up there for the past several weekends , putting in mainly at Curtis Switch and floating down. I had some real good luck on the full moon a couple of weeks ago with a #4 brown Joe's fly with a gold spinner. I caught several bows around the 18 mark, but no browns. Right before we got to the 2 islands ( I dont know if they have a landmark name), they're about halfway down between the Switch and the Park, I tied on a J#10 silver rapala. My dad looked at me funny, but didnt say anything, one guy in our party laughed at me. Anyway, we came over the hole and I seen that blue-grey water and waited and cast at about 11:00 letting the current do everything i just kept the line tight, and wouldnt you know he drilled it. All I had to do was reel and smile at my Dad. It was one of the best days of my life with my dad and Im glad he got to be part of it.So once again thanks for the pictures and info you share, and you are more than welcome to come fishing with our group anytime.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments and the warm welcome here!
Just keep my mother in law (hate to even call her that) in your prayers as she battles breast cancer.

Just go catch some fish now!!!!

Going to be up in your area Sat. and Sunday. If you are available any would love to fish some of that Toccoa water. I sent you a e-mail on the Meetup site but not sure if it went through or not. Anyway let me know if you got any free time this weekend. Joey Walraven and myself are staying at a friends place in McCayesville.

    hey justin,
i was in the shop the day that you came in and asked if the state did river records and i told you no. that is a great fish. was the fish caught while they were generating or was it at normal water level? i was just wondering because alot of them get caught while they are generating or as the water level is falling back to normal. agan... GREAT CATCH
