Hey Pafly. The weather is supposed to suck this weekend in the N.E. GA mountains. Water will be very high, very fast, and very difficult to fish. I will be up there trying anyway. Where are you planning to fish? I plan to hit a couple creeks in White County in the Helen area if you are interested. I usually fish tiny flies for brookies, but you'll want something very visible for this kind of water. Try a bigger dry like a 14 or 12 very bushy caddis or as suggested in your thread, a stimulator. You will want some very bright color and large size to help it be seen, and a lot of bushiness to help it float. I probably will not be fishing dry flies this weekend. Probably just double nymphing with some heavy bead head nymphs like hare's ear or a bead head green weenie. If you plan to fish the same area as me tomorrow, lets team up. Just make sure to bring some comfortable and dry gear! It is gonna be WET!
