Where is the sluice and mill? Great photo BTW! Love the wet greys with the brightness of the flowing water. --jk--

Man, people are putting all kinds of names out on your Wyoming query. One not mentioned is a trib of the Hoback, Granite Creek, which gave me some of my best cuts on a visit a few years ago. Cliff is another decent trib, esp. upper. And some buddies make sure they fish Hoback well upstream of the highway every year. If you want a fish fry in the upper Green area, Tosi Creek should be filled with 8-10 inch brookies; literally caught over a dozen without moving the feet, go 20 yards, repeat. Greybull is walking above the campground at the end of the road (good place for bear spray), or figuring out public land in downstream ranch sections (WY isn't like MT, no "high water mark access" law).
All the advice on the thread is good; Cody, Alpine, Pinedale, are all great bases, and cheaper than Jackson. North F. of the Shoshone into the Park is accessible and productive. More good water than time.
I would make it a goal to do the Wyoming Cutthroat Slam; the certificate is just a nice reminder of a wonderful area.
Have fun. Just got back from Missoula, and would happily be heading where you are.

Hi, could you please delete my post in the photography section titled Helton Creek. It is a member's favorite blue line and I told him I would change the title but it didn't work.

    Thanks,
    Mark
