The science says it didnít affect anything. So if it was a science based decision and the science says it doesnít matter then Iíd guess itíll be reversed.

Maybe Goodyear has a powerful rubber lobby in trout water States

Iím still trying to find a used pair of Chacos to glue felt to the bottom of for drift boat fishing. My buddy whoís a big white water kayaker has a pair of Astral shoes that grip almost as good as felt that just look like regular tennis shoes. Theyíre better than any rubber wading boot sole Iíve experienced....

  • Itís the Internet dude, post pictures showing that you fish, tie flies, do fun stuff and people will acknowledge that. Then someone might say it seems that guy fishes where I fish maybe Iíll PM him and see if I can trade info/have a fishing buddy.

When you show up to a party empty handed...

  • I barely post anymore because the new format either doesnít let me, or says it didnít work but then turns out it did work after I re do the whole post. Also the search function is now useless. Itís more efficient to just google whatever your key words are with ngto tacked on.

    Shame really,...

  • You may want to consider a replica mount vs a real one. They just seem to hold up better over the years. But definitely a once in a lifetime fish.

Yeah these stories always seem off to me. I get that it happens but I always wonder if itís the persons immune system and not the creek bacteria. But I canít say Iím not a doctor. But if I put peroxide on every cut Iíd ever had around a creek or river Iíd go broke .99 cents at a time.

  • I always bring a 5wt, 8wt, and medium action/3000 reel combo on my boat on the hooch. I nymph with the 5, streamer fish with the 8 and jerk bait fish the spin gear. Catching the same fish all around. Tying into a good size fish isnít a big deal. Itís nice to hear the reel sing every once in a while....

Thatís cool Swamp. Iím only there for the last 6 days of trout season. In that time Iíll go from Glasgow to Mallaig, mallaig to Rum for two days then Skye. So pretty much will be limited to the tiny lochs on those two islands and their creeks flowing both in and out. Skye will be tough as itís such...

Yeah the entry level Remingtonís arenít worth it for the price. I bought a 99 dollar Rs4 8wt for the price and have abused the rod for years. When it eventually letís go Iíll get a sage motive 8wt as it seems to cast the exact same. The one rod is a little quicker. But an awesome rod.

    Rs4-100...

Hey Alaska was what 39 or 49 cents an acre? Best time to plant a tree is 30 years ago. Best time to buy land is whenever you have the cash.

I agree, but as the temp gets more and more above historical levels I hope we donít get these swings of 2 weeks drought then two days with 4 inches of rain then drought again. But weíre entering a new age so weíll see.

Yeah the salmon fishing is all private water and is a pricey endeavor for sure. Trout season is open for just the first few days of my trip and Rum is basically a nature preserve so fishing is allowed everywhere. Just curious as to what the loch fishing is like. I’m thinking it’ll be like bream fishing...

    started a topic Scotland?

    Scotland?

Iíve got a salmon trip planned with a guide. But what about the trout? Iíll be on the isle of rum and Skye at the end of trout season. Iím leaning towards a 5 wt dry dropper based on what Iíve read. So naturally Iím planning on bringing a 4 and 6 wt setup. Still havenít contacted any shops over there...
