Looks great! Tellicos work well in the fall of the year for me. I don't know if the fish are keying on them more or I fish it with more confidence. Pays to keep a few in your arsenal.

I went to a fair number NASCAR races coming up. We went to Atlanta before they reconfigured the track. At the time Atlanta was the last or one of the last races of the season. We would make a weekend of it, watching qualifying and the other races. At the time, a weekend pass would get you into the infield,...

Practice has been going on since Homestead. I'm ready too. CFB over til fall, Pro FB is of no interest, basketball even less. Spring training and opening of baseball season still a while away.
NASCAR Clash and qualifying is Feb 10.

  • No, I don't think bad calls hurt Bama. Bama got where they are partially because of missed/bad calls Bama is definitely a top tier program, but have been known to benefit from missed or bad calls. Clemson brought it, Bama couldn't handle it. I don't think a few calls going bama's way would have changed...

Absolutely possible! The safety for most semi auto shotguns is directly behind the trigger on the back side of the trigger guard. It actually blocks the trigger from being pulled. If an active dog jumps on the trigger guard, it would be very easy for his next move to pull the trigger. Bad choice for...

Good looking flies. How long does it take to tie one of those beauties?

  • Swampguts, both posts came up. Would you like one deleted?

Now, about that fly. For a first fly, it looks good! Your hackle is a bit long. Hackle should be about a hook gap long. Once you get some tying thread, you will see a difference. Overall, good job!...

  • Change my status from a definite maybe to a definite definite. I can probably help with setup if needed. Just let me know.

  • I wondered how long it would be before the referee angle was brought in, and I thought the same thing. There were some pass interference penalties that could have been called (both ways) that could have changed 'Bama's score had it led to a TD. But Clemson's D was killer inside the 10. The pick 6 to...

12 days if we have no more rain during those 12 days. 12 can turn into 21 very easily

I tried one of the hiking poles and had the same result as Buck. Granted it was not a name brand, but a sports store knock off.And it did collapse once in the river. I dont know if the temperature, water or a combination of the two, or if it was user error, or using something it was not designed to...

Same thing happening on my side of the state too. Hartwell dam was pulling water hard for 2 weeks, then went to just evenings. Everything downstream...Russell Lake and Clark Hill lake are full pool or better, and the Savannah River is too. There is talk about having to open floodgates when the downstream...

I have the Folstaff and have used it for 7-8 years. No complaints from me. I'm 62, overweight and have had back surgery. I need all the help I can get, and the Folstaff is it. I liked the idea of a collapsible for the same reason you mentioned. No regrets here

  • You didn't mention line. Are you looking to do line and reel, or just reel. On a 4wt, I would sacrifice a little on the reel to get a good line. The reel on a 4wt is not much more than a line holder, you rarely use the drag on a 4. A good line will increase casting distance, floats better (assuming...

It's the old adage of "We know what we like and we like what we know." Please be patient. There are still some areas to be worked out, and we (the IT gurus) are still working on some glitches. As far as "someone had too much time on their hands" Jamie, "Da Da's Fishing"...
