Finally a day to fish!

Been super busy with Grad school but finally got away for a day of fishing in Arkansas. Gotta love it when you can target post spawn browns and never move more than 50 feet all day!!

I would suggest going up to a heavier weight...

I would suggest going up to a heavier weight reel. Any lamson 2.0 model reel would be great to balance it. I have a nautilus xm reel (5,6 wt) and it balances a lot better than the lamson 1.5 velocity...

I say GO!!! Me and a buddy went after thanksgiving and did very well (and that was when the water levels were REALLY low). Even if they haven't stocked recently, there are a lot of fish to be caught.
