Wet flies are kinda meant to fish shallower than nymphs which often reach the bottom quicker. The traditional wet flies are also usually swung in a tandem rig than dead drifted.

Honestly though if you only have a box of pheasant tails and hare’s ears and maybe some junk flies and wooly buggers, you will catch 90-99.999% of the fish you normally catch. Presentation > pattern...

Eagle claw featherlight

Does anybody here use the 7 foot eagle claw featherlight as their primary fly rod for small-medium creeks? After breaking my original 9 footer wildeayer brand rod I bought this one to replace it.
