hey ya'll, could someone give me some info on Fightingtown creek trout fishing? I'm looking for a cabin to rent and have seen some on this creek but how good is the fishing? Mostly stockers? Any natives? kayakers and tubers a problem? Is there another place you would recomend that has cabins to rent.? Thank you for your help!

At the string of cabins once known as Dogwood Riverside Resort there was some decent fishing for outsized fish. My wife loved the place and everytime we stayed there she would go back and catch the same 3 pounder twice a day. There were some real bruisers in there. But it was not my kind of fishing.
That was 12 years ago and I have no idea what it is like today. |

I own land there (rental cabin), but don't spend much time in the area. My understanding is that the Creek is "private" (just like the Toccoa) in that the land owners own the ground beneath the water. Could be wrong on this (some others on the Board might know if there is public access).
This is just to say to be careful as a renter. Neighboring land owners may or may not take kindly to you wading off the rental property. Good luck! (p.s. If you're interested in a rental, PM me)
