Well I drove dang near to Tn, turned onto one lane dirt road and drove five miles wondering how I would ever get out if a tree fell across the road. (Lesson 1-Always put an ax in truck when pursuing brookies.) Followed instructions from supposed friend to climb steep mountain to top of falls. (Lesson 2-Pick more honest firends. I've seen goats refuse to climb grades that steep.) I had told said friend I didn't mind walking. (Lesson 3-Bring rappelling equipment when pursuing brookies.)Caught one beautiful six inch brookie and ran up another 50 foot tall waterfall. Decided one was plenty as death from a heart attack or head smacking bottom of water fall was not what I had come out for. Proceded back down cliff to lower creek. DNR said fine shouldn't be more than $100 for ignoring sign about climbing said cliff to top of water fall. (Lesson 4-Heed signs unless friend is there to blame indiscretion on.) Went to another strream and started fishing again. Caught another brookie, WOW, didn't have to be mountain goat after all. (Leeson 5-Fish the easy water first.) Fished 3 more hours and caught several nice rainbows, one was 9". Saw some absolutely beautiful scenery, will take camera next time after I get out of hospital with chest pains.[xx(] Just joking, about the camera, no the chest pains and hospital.
I hope everybody had a great Independence Day. I just had a great day of fishing. |

Too Funny!
I have also been in a couple places that make me think hard about how bad I want to fish... Have had to catch my fly rod a few times when it slips out of the hand and drops off the cliff wall. By the way can you send me directions on how to get to the cliff and hidden stream ![]()
