Default Cashiers NC

I'll have a couple half+ days to fish in Cashiers NC in a few weeks and would like a couple general comments on fishing in the immediate area---Whiteside R. just out of town(although on a YouTube feature looks a tad rugged to me) and/or the very upper Chatooga R. a few miles outside Cashiers are waters that come to mind looking at the DeLorme maps. Have been told that the main Chatooga(off 28) this time of year sees stressed fish, but thought getting up higher in the river might be ok. PM would be very much appreciated.
