Question Inherited it from Grandpa...

I'm glad I found this forum! I was wondering... I have a bamboo rod that I inherited from my grandfather. It is a Shakespeare and it says No. 1360 9'
I don't know anything about bamboo so my question is, if/when I get a chance to restore this (ferrules?, guides, reel seat, cork) would it be worth it or should I be content to use it as a display piece in the future.

I know that shakespeare rods in the graphite class aren't good but I don't know if bamboo is a different game.

Thanks for your help!

Joe
