Default J.D Wagner

A couple weeks back I was fishing hoppers on the PM with my Thramer PHY and I saw a guy walking down the bank with a nice cane rod. We started talking and right away we got into some bamboo rod talk. He was asking about my rod, and then of course I asked him about his. Low and behold it was J.D. Wagner, fishing one of his own 8ft 6wt Signature Series rods.

Beautiful rod, he let me cast it a little with a hopper dropper and it was as smooth as butter and could really lay out some line. Anyways, Jeff was a super nice guy to talk to and it was fun getting to pick his brain. He said he'd be up in a few weeks to try for some salmon on one of his 8wts.....now that id love to see!!!!

Overall just a neat experience on the river, he was the only other angler I saw all day.
