Default Fly Fishing Magazine Shake-up

I heard through the grapevine the other day - and then through MidCurrent.com today (http://www.midcurrent.com/news/2008/...r-loses-j.html) - that Phil Monahan, editor of American Angler, was the casualty of our now all-too-often string of lay-offs.

While I can definitely feel for Phil - it's a bad time right now, and no time is a good one to lose one's job - Steve Walburn, former editor of Salt Water Fly Fishing is taking over at American Angler. For any of you who read SWFF, you know that when Steve took over, the mag went from good to great. He's an unbelievable writer, an even better editor and has a great eye for photography and art. This should mean a stronger American Angler, which is cool for all of us who already subscribe.
