Default New Boat Question

I found a good deal on a canoe, but i can't decide between a canoe and a gheenoe. I would use it to mainly fish tailwaters around here like the Upper Hooch and the Tacooa. I have fished from both and I like the fact that you can stand and fish from the gheenoe. I am worried that the gheenoe might not be as sturdy for running over rocks. I have seen some gheenoes with holes from running into docks and i have taken a canoe over a days worth of shoals with not so much as a scratch. Does anyone have any feedback on this or any other pros and cons.
