Tail - marabou from ringneck pheasant
rib - gold tinsel or wire
Body - peacock herl
Hackle - ringneck pheasant rump feather
Collar - Ringneck pheasant aftershaft, wrapped

Wow !

I really like the look of that fly. I can see it working for both warm and cold water fish.

I'll have to see if my ringneck skin has any of those feathers.

Beautiful fly!
You certainly don't see a pattern that calls for an aftershaft feather every day. Every now and then I'll run across one online or in a pattern book, but it seems aftershaft feathers are pretty underrated. I think they are awesome; soft, great mobility and life-like action in the water. I have never heard of it, but this fly's got fish written all over it. Thanks for sharing a great pattern with us, 94840.

thanks for the pattern 94840...i liked it so much i thought i would give it a try...its still a work in progress but its starting to look good...

Not as easy to tie as it looks.

Here's my attempt. Just don't have feathers as light as yours 94840, but hope it will still be effective with the fish
